While Jude spends a lot of time describing the false teachers who were antagonizing Christians in the first century, he begins to finish his letter by showing how the faithful are to be unlike the ungodly. Contending for the faith is more than just being aware of false teaching, it is also making sure that we are personally growing in the Lord and seeking to save others. Unlike the ungodly, the faithful of God can be built up by praying in the Holy Spirit, remaining in the love of God, and waiting for the mercy of Jesus.
