The word in the Hebrew means “happy” or “happiness,” and, while not seen in the English is used as a plural interjection.
The New Testament word means “supremely blessed.”
The word is a reference to true happiness.
Man will search for happiness in a number of ways (Ecc. 1:14).
May try to find it in the material (Matt. 6;25-25; 1Tim. 6:9-10).
Popularity (John 12:42-43).
All of these are temporary.
This word, on the other hand, points to a happiness that stands the test of time.
This happiness is grounded in God (Psalm 146:5).
