I. People seem to forget the golden rule, among other Biblical admonitions. a.       Why are so many people rude? II.                 Online Disinhibition Effect a.       It is all based on the phenomenon called online disinhibition effect. Those affected by this have their find their inhibitions lowered to doing things that each would not normally do. For instance, one experiencing this will reveal personal details which would remain hidden when in a public setting. Not every aspect of ODE is negative as some may feel the urge to give money to strangers based on this same principle. b.      Six factors to consider: i.      Dissociative Anonymity: We are known by our usernames (where real names are not used).                               ii.      Invisibility: People may not be aware of our presence. iii.      A synchronicity: We are not always interacting in real-time. iv.      Solopsistic Introjection: We do not see each other face to face or social cues. v.      Dissociative Imagination: What we do online is separate from who are offline. vi.      Minimization of Status: When face to face with an authoritative figure, we might not say or do something but when online… III.              We need to be reminded: a.       Matt. 12:36
