Under the Juniper Tree Season 12, Episode 5 for Thursday, September 3, 2020
· One of the beautiful things about Christianity is the differences we all have and yet we have some much in common. · This episode is going to focus on one key difference: personality. · What do I mean by personality? · What is an introvert and extravert? o Introvert – These individuals are more focused on internal feelings and thoughts rather than seeking out stimulation from outside forces. § Famous Introverts include: Albert Einstein, Rosa Parks, Sir Isaac Newton, Abraham Lincoln, and Ted Geisel (Dr. Seuss). § Biblical Introverts · Moses o Extravert – More focused on outside stimulation rather than internal feelings. These will often gain energy from social situations than time alone. Usually more talkative than introverts. § Famous Extraverts include: Walt Disney, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Winston Churchill, and Steve Jobs. § Biblical Extraverts · Peter · Misunderstandings o These two groups are often viewed as opposites which is very much untrue. o Introverts are often seen as shy or arrogant while extraverts are often seen as rude. o Another misunderstanding is that to be useful to the kingdom one must either be introverted or extraverted. § 1 Cor. 12:12-31 – Context deals with the miraculous but there are principles to gather from the text.We want to hear from you!
