“COVID-19 and Isolation” (Under the Juniper Tree S11E6)

Under the Juniper Tree Season 11, Episode 6, Released Tuesday, March 24, 2020
Putting the Social Media discussion on hold for the time being. ·         COVID-19 has become a pandemic and we are wondering what to do. o   Many have been somewhat forced into quarantine whether they’ve liked it or not. o   When that happens, we might feel some isolation. o   What do we do for two or more weeks? Let me encourage us to “stay connected.” ·         Stay Connected With Each Other o   While it may be difficult to not have a person there with you, we can all still stay connected when we feel lonely. o   We have to think outside the box. o   There are video chat programs (Facebook Messenger, Google, Skype, Zoom, some phones). Have a virtual luncheon with someone. o   We can still have face to face discussions with each other and stay connected that way. ·         Stay Connected With Your Mind o   Here’s what I mean: distract yourself from the loneliness. o   I want to be careful with the things I am going to discuss because I do not want them done in excess BUT they still may help. o   Movies and music can help. o   Try in house exercise (keep the body strong). o   Try reading more (keep the mind strong). ·         Stay Connected with God o   Psalm 46:10a: Be still, and know that I am God §  Be still – literally put yourself at rest – be calm §  Know – Know God for Who He Is. §  This is a perfect time to grow close to the Father. o   Connect with Him in Prayer. §  Eph 6:18

We want to hear from you!
