At first, I wanted to deal with this from the standpoint of narcissism but something recently changed. o Yes, we can get narcissistic online and we should keep from that attitude. o Prov. 16:18 · Something else occurred to me when preparing this lesson. o There are some who post “selfies” and posts which bring attention to self. o But the question is why? o It would be easy to refer to everyone who does this as a “narcissist” and how they need to grow up and realize that everything is not about them. o But is that really the reason for everyone? · A lack of confidence/ self-worth. o This means that some base their value on the amount of likes, comments, shares, follows, and so on that a person receives. o Know this: You are more valuable than any number can reflect. o Rom. 12:3 · Loneliness. o Are some asking for this attention because they feel alone with no one but those online? o Psa 23:4 o Psa. 68:5-6 o Remember, there is a group of people who love you – Christians.
