Under the Juniper Tree Season 10, Episode 4 for Tuesday, September 24, 2019
- Take note of Gal. 2:20
- Some try to argue the sinfulness of taking medication from the word “witchcraft.”
- The Greek word is “pharmakia” and is where we get our English word Pharmacy.
- Some choose to believe the word means that taking medication is tantamount to medication.
- Here’s the problem:
- Etymology does not equal definition.
- The word refers to those who who used spells, incantations, and mixtures to speak to the dead, make “deals” with the devil, and such items.
- The effects were similar to a drug trip.
- The word COULD refer to someone concocting a spell with a mixture in order to “heal” someone but this is still far and away from visiting your local CVS for anxiety meds much less an antibiotic for sickness.
