When our work began in January 2013, many people had never listened to a podcast. Today, we have produced over 1,100 episodes of sixteen unique programs with a growing listenership. By God’s blessings, The Light Network is enjoying consistent growth as we encourage souls, enlighten minds, and empower faith in those who are seeking the Lord.
Undoubtedly, part of the growth we have enjoyed is due to the fact that podcasting itself is a growing medium. The Pew Research Center reports that one-third of Americans have listened to a podcast. Forbes.com states that podcasting has been growing steadily, and in great numbers. Analysts project continued growth for podcasting, thanks to smartphones and Internet-connected vehicles.
Podcasts can literally reach the entire world with just one click, through the power of the Internet. Our statistics indicate that TLN’s website receives visitors from all over the world each week. We regularly hear from listeners who are thankful for the spiritual help that our podcasts provide them. Some have biblical questions, which lead to virtual, one-on-one Bible studies (we are also happy to connect them with faithful brethren where they live).
We are grateful to God for the opportunity to serve Him through podcasts, and it is our intention to give Him all of the glory. With God’s blessings, season 3 will be our best yet!
Season 3 Begins Monday
We produce our shows in seasons for convenience on our host and easy organization of all of our content. A season constitutes 15-20 episodes of weekly shows, or about half a year (we break for a few weeks in the summer and around the end of the year). As we enter Season 3, we want to make you aware of several changes to our podcast lineup.
Show Changes – Culture Shock is going on an indefinite hiatus. Torrey Clark is reevaluating the show and has plans to either recreate it and bring it back, or pursue another area of podcasting. Pray for the Clarks as they welcome their first child into the world later this season! The New You will change from a daily show to twice each week, releasing on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Season 3 Specials
In December 2015, we hosted our first Evening of Prayer at The Light Network, a one-hour live event during which we took prayer requests and had three Christian men lead us in prayer throughout the hour. It was a special time of Christian fellowship and communion with God. Lord willing, The Light Network will continue to host these special evenings in the future.
New Shows in Process
We have spent the past several months focusing on improving our current podcasts rather than adding new ones. However, we have begun the process of discussing and workshopping new shows for TLN’s lineup in the future. Your input is always appreciated! Be on the lookout for listener surveys for specific podcasts and for the network as a whole.
