Ready to Worship Season 4, Episode 7 for Friday, October 21, 2016
As Paul tarried in Athens waiting for his co-workers, his spirit was stirred within him (Acts 17:16). He was upset because the city was “wholly” given to idolatry. In fact, they were so superstitious that they had erected an altar to the unknown God. Evidently, to make sure that they did not overlook or offend any god, they built a generic altar. Paul took the opportunity to declare this unknown God to them. As we get ready to worship this week, we need to make sure that we know the God that we worship.
