In order to engage our culture while preaching the whole counsel of God, preachers must educate themselves on cultural trends, including scientific beliefs of the day. Dr. Jeff Miller, this week’s guest, spends most of his time speaking and writing to defend the truth of God’s word. Dr. Miller shares six things he wishes every preacher were ready to address, a list he has developed from his wide travels and many conversations with both Christians and those outside of Christ. “Defeating naturalism doesn’t cause people to naturally assume that God exists,” says Dr. Miller, noting that to disprove a theory isn’t enough. As preachers, we must take care to demonstrate the existence of one, true God even as we are sure to craft arguments that will disprove the false teachings common to our day.LinkS:
