In the final chapter of Paul’s letter to Titus, Paul encourages Titus to remind Christians in Crete about how their conduct toward all people should be radically changed according to their transformation by the grace of God. Because Christians were once foolish and disobedient but have been regenerated and justified by God’s grace, they should have grace and patience with those in the world. The goal of God’s grace is to create a people devoted to good works. A people who do not quarrel and divide over unimportant topics, but who are completely sold out to the cause of glorifying God with their actions.
