The book of Colossians is perhaps known best for elaboration on the preeminence and supremacy of Christ. In Colossians 3:18-4:18, we are reminded that Christ’s Lordship has real-world application for our families, how we share God’s Word, and how we fulfill our ministries. The ending of Colossians encourages Christians to be better wives, husbands, children, parents, servants, and masters. It encourages Christians to always be ready to speak grace to outsiders. It encourages Christians to fulfill the ministry that the Lord has given them, whatever that may be. Through it all, God is magnified as the one who makes it all possible.
