“Husbands and Wives” (God Magnified S3E11)

According to Ephesians5:22-33, one of the “profound mysteries” of the Bible is that God’s design for marriage in Genesis 2 ultimately points to the relationship between Christ and His church. Just as the church submits to Christ and Christ loves and sacrifices for the church, Paul says, wives should submit to their husbands while husbands love and sacrifice for their wives. Though this section of Scripture is controversial and sometimes abused, it is a beautiful reminder of marriage and the higher, spiritual reality it mirrors.
