In Philippians 3:12-21, Paul explains how he didn’t believe that he was already perfect, or that he had already obtained the prize waiting for him in Christ Jesus. Instead, he pressed on toward the goal. If we are to do likewise, we must keep our eyes on those who faithfully serve Christ, and be unlike the enemies of the cross of Christ. This becomes easier when one realizes that Christians have their ultimate citizenship in heaven, and from it, Christ will return to transform their lowly bodies.
