Unity can only be maintained by humility. That is why Paul told the Philippians that if they were to be united, they would have to have the mind of Christ (Phil. 2:5). Jesus is the ultimate example of humility because He not only left heaven to be a lowly servant on earth but even obeyed the Father to the point of dying on a cross.
