With a new year comes new resolve, renewed hope, and recommitment on several levels. Those things are as true with this podcast as they are with anything else in life. A deep debt of gratitude is owed to the loyal listeners of this show. Wayne’s resolve is to match that loyalty this season. He hopes you will join him in this season’s journey.
The first episode address the fixation that many have on yesterday. In our longing for the old days, we often lament our current circumstances. Nostalgia can paralyze us in the present. Not a single one of us chose the world or circumstances into which we were born. Yet, here we are. As men of God, He expects us to lead where we have been planted.
In today’s show, Wayne gives brief consideration to the circumstances and the culture into which we were all born. Then he addresses the two major reactions that Christian leaders often have to that culture. We can seek refuge (I.e., refusing to engage or confront while riding out our days in isolation) or we can choose mission (i.e., embodying the mindset of Jesus).
