“25 Lessons From 25 Years” (Authentically Adam S4E1)

Host: Wayne Jones  |  Released Wednesday, August 11, 2021
Welcome back to a brand new season of Authentically Adam. We are still dedicated to restoring God’s original design for man and encouraging men to be God’s men!. On August 9, 2021 Wayne and his wife celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. This episode and the next one will highlight 25 lesson learns or principles gleaned in those 25 years of marriage. While these principles are rooted in Scripture and have specific application to husbands, ministers, and fathers, they are very personal and, hopefully, practical for all. This week’s episode covers lessons 1-12.

  1. You are never really ready for marriage.
  2. Don’t waste your early years of marriage.
  3. Older, Christian couples are invaluable to the growth of your relationship.
  4. Read!
  5. The “love bank” analogy is flawed.
  6. Compliment more than you complain.
  7. You will hurt one another.
  8. Learning your wife should be a fascinating experience.
  9. Being alone is not easy.
  10. Lust after your wife.
  11. The strength of the local church may depend on the strength of your marriage.
  12. Candy dishes will break.

Our prayers is that these reflections provided insight and encouragement for this week and the weeks to follow.

We want to hear from you!

Credit is given to The Black Suits for the music for Authentically Adam. Three young men who mean a great deal to me wrote and recorded this music in their teenage years. They helped me to be more authentic and spiritual. Shane, Kyle, and Daniel, I love you guys more than you know. Shane, I hope to see you again one day.
