Authentically Adam Season 2, Episode 10 for Wednesday, November 4, 2020

In our last episode we began a discussion of what marriage is like “east of Eden” and how that all of our relationships are affected by man’s rebellion and sin.

In the first 4 chapters of Song of Solomon there is a utopian view of marriage, but some days there is trouble. Sometimes there is conflict. Chapter 5 records a conflict in the early marriage of Solomon and Shulamite. There was overreaction, frustration, regret, and loneliness based on unfulfilled expectations and the resentment that followed. With last week’s discussion of the background and textual considerations being noted, this week Wayne brings our 4 principles we need to remember if we are going to have “dream” marriages instead of nightmares. We pray that this discussion is God-honoring and soul-strengthening.
