God Took Him Out of the Darkness
o 1 Kings 19:9-13
o There is a type of depression that appears when one does not get enough sunlight.
o It is referred to as “Seasonal Affective Disorder” or “SAD.”

God was Calm and Kind with Him
o 1 Kings 9:12
o “Still Small Voice” should be of great importance to us. It refers to that which is calm and quiet.
o Sometimes, we get impatient with those who suffer.
o How did God treat the situation?

God Listened to Him
o 1 Kings 19:9, 10, 13, 14
o God asked Elijah appropriate questions and then listened.
o Did God ever cut off the prophet? No, He allowed Elijah to get things off his chest.
o Sometimes, people just want us to listen.
